Dunn County Finder Challenge Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026

Coding Every Day provides the Dunn County Finder Challenge app for use with Rassbach Museum and Fulton’s Workshop programs. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how participants can request changes or deletion of their information.

Information We Collect

The Dunn County Finder Challenge app may collect the following information:

  • Email address used to create and access an account
  • Participant, family, household, school, or group name
  • Optional first and last name for the main account contact
  • Optional phone number
  • Optional mailing address
  • Museum membership status
  • Public nickname, if the participant chooses to join the leaderboard
  • Uploaded photos submitted as proof of challenge finds
  • Challenge progress, point totals, submission status, prize eligibility, and prize claim status
  • Optional media release permission for public use of submitted photos

The app does not intentionally collect GPS location data.

How We Use Information

We use information collected through the app to:

  • Create and manage participant accounts
  • Allow participants to submit photos for Finder Challenge tasks
  • Allow museum staff to review submissions and approve points
  • Track prize eligibility and prize claims
  • Display an optional nickname-only leaderboard
  • Contact participants if needed about their account, submissions, or prizes
  • Support program reporting and administration

Uploaded photos are used for challenge verification. Photos are private by default and are visible only to the participant account and authorized museum/admin users.

Leaderboard Privacy

The leaderboard is optional. Participants must choose to join the leaderboard and provide a public nickname.

The public leaderboard only shows:

  • Approved public nickname
  • Rank
  • Approved points
  • Approved find count

The leaderboard does not show full names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, or uploaded photos.

New or changed nicknames must be approved by an admin before appearing publicly.

Photo Use And Media Release

Submitting a photo for challenge review does not automatically give permission for public use.

Participants may separately choose to give permission for Rassbach Museum and Fulton’s Workshop to use submitted photos for program publicity, including website, social media, print, and promotional materials.

Participants may change this permission for future submissions by updating their profile or contacting support.

Children And Family Participation

The app is intended to be managed by an adult or guardian when children participate. During account creation, users are asked to confirm that an adult or guardian is managing the account and photo uploads.

Parents or guardians may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information.

Service Providers

The app uses third-party service providers to operate securely and reliably, including:

  • Supabase for authentication, database storage, and uploaded photo storage
  • Cloudflare for website hosting and delivery
  • Google Play for Android app distribution, if the app is installed through Google Play

These providers process information only as needed to provide the app and related services.

Data Sharing

We do not sell participant information.

We may share limited information with Rassbach Museum and Fulton’s Workshop staff or authorized program administrators for the purpose of operating the Finder Challenge.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or security of participants, staff, or the app.

Data Retention

We keep account information, submissions, photos, and prize records for as long as needed to operate the Finder Challenge, complete program reporting, resolve support requests, or meet legal and administrative needs.

Participants may request deletion of their account and related data.

Account Deletion

Participants may request deletion of their account by visiting the Dunn County Finder Challenge account deletion page or by contacting app@codingeveryday.com.

Participants can also request account deletion from inside the Finder Challenge app by opening Profile and using Request account deletion.

A deletion request may include account profile information, uploaded photos, challenge submissions, and related account data. Some limited records may be retained if needed for security, legal, or administrative purposes.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to help protect account information and uploaded photos.

No online service can guarantee complete security, but the app is designed so participant photos are private by default and access is limited by account permissions.

No Advertising

The Dunn County Finder Challenge app does not display third-party ads.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the Last updated date will be revised.
